Tony Winner Julie White Joins CBS Pilot SAVE THE DATE

Deadline reports that Tony Award-winner Julie White has been cast in an upcoming CBS comedy pilot entitled SAVE THE DATE. The actress will join Michelle Trachtenberg, Tom Bennett and Maggie Lawson in CBS' half-hour project.

Jackie and Jeff Filgo penned the romantic comedy which follows , ABC Studios and CBS Studios a "35-year-old and newly single Kate (Lawson), who drunkenly books a wedding venue and now is faced with the task of meeting the right man in time.

Trachtenberg will play Hillary, described as "Katie's buttoned-down, no-nonsense sister who is sharing an apartment with her." while White will take on the role of Connie, Katie and Hillary's mother.

The VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE recently took on a recurring role on the sixth season of Showtime's Edie Falco-led series Nurse Jackie. White won her Tony for her performance in Broadway's The Little Dog Laughed.
