Are Drama Critics Necessary?

This program was taped 4 days after le Sourd, the theater critic at Gannett Newspapers for 35 years, was laid off. (The company is not planning to replace him, but will eliminate his position.)

They also review some of the new productions of the season, including All My Sons, The Seagull, Billy Elliot, Speed-the-Plow, Liza's at the Palace and Garden of Earthly Delights.

Theater Talk, the series devoted to the world of the stage, is co-hosted by Michael Riedel (Broadway columnist for the New York Post) and series producer Susan Haskins.
