The CW's Season Debut of ARROW Hits the Mark!

The third season premiere of ARROW (8:00-9:00 pm) was right on target for The CW, up +13% in adults 18-34 (0.9/4), +11% in adults 18-49 (1.0/3), and +2% in total viewers (2.79 million) versus last season's debut, according to preliminary Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

Among men, ARROW boasted a +25% increase versus last year's premiere in men 18-34 (1.0/4).

ARROW scored its most watched and highest-rated episode in adults 18-49 and in adults 18-34 since 2/5/14.

ARROW also soared over last season's finale on 5/14/14, +18% in total viewers, +29% in adults 18-34, and +11% in adults 18-49.

ARROW out-rated NBC in THE HOUR in adults 18-34, and was #2 in THE HOUR among men 18-34, behind only CBS.

An encore presentation of the premiere episode of THE FLASH (9:00-10:00 pm) averaged 2.09 million viewers, 0.6/2 in adults 18-34, 0.6/2 in adults 18-49, and 0.7/3 in men 18-34. THE FLASH encore out-rated FOX in THE HOUR in men 18-34.

Last night was The CW's most-watched (2.44M) and highest-rated (0.7/3 in adults 18-34, 0.8/3 in adults 18-49) Wednesday night since 3/26/14.

Looking at the average Live + 7 Day delayed viewing for ARROW last season, last night's premiere is estimated to gain +47% in total viewers, +46% in A18-34, and +56% in A18-49, versus L+SD ratings.
