Telemundo's SENORA ACERO Premieres as No. 1 Program in Time Slot in Key Demo
The season four premiere of Telemundo's SENORA ACERO , LA COYOTE ranked as the #1 broadcast program, in its time slot, in English or Spanish, among adults 18-34, according to Nielsen. The Super Series™ ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program at 10p, averaging 1,777,000 total viewers, 974,000 adults 18-49 and 510,000 adults 18-34, outperforming Univision by +22%, +53% and +73%, respectively. Telemundo also ranked as the #1 Spanish-language network, during 8p-11p prime, outperforming Univision Among Total Viewers (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+26%) and Adults 18-34 (+28%).
Locally, the premiere helped Telemundo rank #1 in the time slot, among all broadcast stations, regardless of language in New York, Houston, Phoenix, and Orlando among adults 18-49. It also ranked as the #1 Spanish-language network in the hour among total viewers and adults 18-49 in New York, Miami, Houston, San Francisco, Orlando, Philadelphia, Denver and Washington, and among adults 18-49 in Dallas and Chicago.
Based on an original story by Roberto Stopello and written by Indira Paez, the new season of the Super Series™ unfolds within the painful context of the undocumented immigrants who cross the border from Mexico to the United States in search of the American Dream. "Señora Acero, La Coyote" continues the story of Vicenta Acero (Carolina Miranda), a strong woman who has carved a path for herself in a male-dominated world and fights for better treatment of the many immigrants who struggle to cross one of the world's longest borders.
"Señora Acero, La Coyote" is an original Telemundo Studios production by Argos Television, directed by Miguel Varoni and Felipe Aguilar with Mariana Iskandarani as executive producer.
