"This Week" won the July Sweep in the key adult news demo for the first time in 21 years - since July 1993. In addition, after also winning the 2014 May Sweep, "This Week" scored its first back-to-back sweeps victory in the key adult news demo also in 21 years - since May 1993 and July 1993, respectively.
Competitively, "This Week" outperformed NBC's "Meet the Press" by its largest Total Viewer margin (+392,000) during a July sweep in 19 years, while beating the
NBC program for the first time during the month in Adults 25-54 (+104,000) during a July sweep in 21 years - since July 1995 and July 1993, respectively. In addition, "This Week" beat "Meet the Press" in three of the four sweeps period in Adults 25-54 during the 2013-14 season, also leading in Nov 2013 and May 2014.
"This Week" outperformed CBS' "Face the Nation" in Adults 25-54 (+34,000) for the 2nd sweep in a row, turning in its largest news demo advantage during any sweep in 3 years - since July 2011.
For the 3rd sweeps period in a row, "The Week" built on the year-ago sweep (July 2013) by double-digits in both Total Viewers (+16% - 2.671 million vs. 2.304 million) and Adults 25-54 (+20% - 772,000 vs. 641,000). In fact, "This Week" drew its largest overall July Sweep audience in 5 years - since July 2009. Further, "This Week" grew the most in Total Viewers and was the only public affairs program to grow in Adults 25-54 compared to July 2013 as CBS' "Face the Nation" (+4%/-4%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+3%/-18%) were mixed, while NBC's "Meet the Press" (-8%/-3%) was down

ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 2.589 million Total Viewers and 731,000 Adults 25-54, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" beat NBC's "Meet the Press" (2.352 million) by 237,000 Total Viewers to lead the
NBC program for the 5th straight Sunday.
"This Week" built on the year-ago Sunday in Adults 25-54 (+11%) - 659,000, respectively on 7/28/13. In fact, "This Week" has turned in year-to-year increases for the last 5 weeks and in 13 of the last 14.
Season to date, "This Week" is up by double-digits in Total Viewers (+15%) and Adults 25-54 (+15%) versus its year-ago season averages. "This Week" is delivering its strongest performance in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season. In addition, "This Week" is up the most from the same point last season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (+1%/ +1%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-6%/-7%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+3%/-10%).
In addition, "This Week" leads NBC's "Meet the Press" this season in both Total Viewers (+192,000) and Adults 25-54 (+60,000), leading the
NBC program by its largest Total Viewer advantage in 18 years, while beating "Meet the Press in during a season for the first time 20 years in the key adult news demo - since the 1995-96 and the 1993-94 seasons, respectively.
