THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD Tops Weekend Box Office

Collider reports that THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD has held on to its spot at the top of the box office for a second straight week. The comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson earned a little over $10 million to clinch the number one slot. Overall, the movie has grossed almost $40 million.

The thriller ANNABELLE: CREATION has clinched the second spot on the charts, grossing $7.3 million in its third weekend out in theaters. The sequel has taken in about $77 million at the box office overall, which is more than five times what the horror film's budget.

Animated film LEAP! came in third with a $5 million gross. THE FAMILY movie, that features voices such as Elle Fanning and Kate McKinnon, was the only new film to hit the theaters this weekend.

Rounding out the top five are the crime film WIND RIVER and the comedy action movie LOGAN LUCKY, which earned $4.4 million and $4.3 million respectively.
