Streep Set for '30 ROCK' Stop?

Backstage at the 15th Annual SAG Award last Sunday, Jan. 25th, Award winner Alec Baldwin asked fellow SAG honoree Meryl Streep to appear on his show, NBC's 30 Rock and it didn't take too much for the legendary star to agree. "Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show. She said yes immediately" reports a source.

Meryl Streep, who stars in the film Doubt as the stern Sister Aloysius, won the 2008 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for playing the part.

Alec Baldwin won the 2008 SAG Award for Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in NBC's 30 ROCK. 30 ROCK picked up Best Comedy honors as well.

Of the top industry accolades presented to performers, only the Screen Actors Guild Awards are selected solely by actors' peers. Two randomly selected panels-one for television and one for film-each comprised of 2,100 Guild members from across the United States, chose this year's Actor and stunt honors nominees. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards' official teller mailed the nominations secret ballots were mailed on November 26. Voting was completed by noon Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.
