Spike TV has ordered a new season of 20 episodes of "Auction Hunters," the network's longest-running non-scripted original series that has successfully broadened and expanded the channel's audience. The fifth season of "Auction Hunters" will go into production this summer and debut this fall.
For the new season, the show's stars, Allen Haff and Ton Jones, will expand their horizons to more than just storage unit auctions. This dynamic duo will traverse the country in search of the best deals, from cattle auctions to police auctions to, of course, their favorite storage auctions - all in the goal of finding fortune. The current season of "Auction Hunters" (January 18-April 5) has averaged 1.5 million viewers and has improved the timeslot on Saturdays at 9pm in the key demographic of Adults 18-34 by 25%. "We are thrilled to bring back another season of 'Auction Hunters' which after four years, continues to resonate with our growing gender-balanced audience," said Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, SPIKE TV.
