A recent amateur-edited clip from the popular FOX animated series Family Guy has driven the show's creator Seth MacFarlane to share his outrage on Twitter.

In the episode titled 'Turban Cowboy' which aired on March 17, Peter Griffin mistakenly blows up a bridge when he get his hands on a cell phone belonging to a terrorist.

However, in a now infamous re-editing of the episode, which currently has almost 140,000 views on YouTube, an unrelated scene has been spliced in featuring sports announcer Bob Costas interviewing Griffin about his participation in the Boston Marathon.

"The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent," tweeted MacFarlane on Tuesday. "The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims."

No details have been revealed as to who may have posted the tasteless prank on the Youtube site.
