Season Premiere of Animal Planet's TANKED Lures in 1.6 Million Viewers

On Friday night, viewers swam in schools to watch the season premiere of Tanked and check out Wayde King and Brett Raymer's sensational aquarium creations. The season opener, 'Pranks and Dranks,' reeled in 1.6M P2+ viewers and was up 53% compared to its 2012 levels. The episode surpassed its previous high of 1.2M P2+ viewers, making it the most-watched episode in series history.

'Pranks and Dranks', which aired Friday, March 22, at 9 PM (ET/PT) also ranks as the series' #1 episode based on delivery and scored double-digit gains among all other major demos, including HH (1M, +38%), P25-54 (833K, +66%), P18-49 (824K, +69%), W18-49 (443K, +79%), W25-54 (419K, +68%), M25-54 (414K, +63%) and M18-49 (381K, +57%).

'Pranks and Dranks' also helped the network produce its best-ever Friday night performance among total viewers, with 1.3M P2+ viewers; also, it helped Animal Planet achieve its best Friday night in network history among W25-45 and W18-49.

In addition, Tanked helped Animal Planet rank #2 with P18-49 and M25-54 among all ad-supported cable in the 9PM time slot, excluding sports.

In the season premiere, Wayde and Brett build a Jackass-themed aquarium for Jackass producer Jeff Tremaine while dealing with antics of "Wee Man" and Pontius. Upcoming episodes find the guys creating a pop-up tank for Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade featuring his new Sting WADE sneaker, a Cleopatra-themed tank for an eclectic hotel and Ultimate "Aquagon" aquarium for UFC headquarters.
