SKYFALL Reclaims Top Box Office Spot; Domestic Total Now Over $261 Million

Rentrak Corporation announced the worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of December 7-9, 2012 as compiled by the company's Box Office Essentials™ and International Box Office Essentials theatrical measurement services.

SKYFALL, now the most lucrative installment in the James Bond franchise, has retaken the top spot, earning another $11 million to bring its domestic total to $261 million. RISE OF THE GUARDIANS rose in the rankings, earning another $10 million, while TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN - PART 2 rounded out the top three with just over $9 million.
