Pilot Season Roundup: Colm Feore, Daniel Stern, Dave Annable to Star in New Shows

The television industry is in the thick of pilot season, and that means new casting announcements every day! BroadwayWorld has just learned that the latest pilot stars inlcude Colm Feore, Daniel Stern, and Dave Annable.

ABC has cast Colm Feore in a new drama pilot, THE KINGMAKERS, from executive producer Sallie Patrick, who has also penned the episode. The show portrays a young man, Jacob, who takes on a new identity and goes undercover with a secret society at an Ivy League school to get to the bottom of his sister's death. Feore is set to play Dean Vandermeer, the antagonist.

David Stern has booked a role in NBC's comedy pilot, STRANGE CALLS, opposite Danny Pudi. Written by Blake McCormick, the show also features Allison Miller and Aliyah Royale. The show follows Toby (Pudi), a well-intentioned, albeit unlucky young police officer who, upon a transfer to a rural town, receives the help of an old nightwatchman, Gregor (Stern), who shows him the supernatural qualities the town possesses.

Dave Annable is set to co-star NBC's medical drama HEART MATTERS. The medical drama centers around Alex Panttier (Melissa George), a female heart transplant surgeon and the girlfriend of Annable's character. Based on the life of Dr. Kathy Magliato, HEART MATTERS focuses on Panttier's struggle to balance work with her personal life, as well as her complicated romantic life. PRIVATE PRACTICE star Amy Brenneman is set to executive produce with screenwriter Jill Gordon and Brad Siberling, as well as co-executive producers Susan Carlson, Eric Carlson, Kelly Meyer, and Dr. Magliato. Robbie Duncan McNeil is set to direct the pilot at Universal Television studio.
