Marvel has released a promo shot for the sophomore season of AGENT CARTER, and it looks like they're amping up the glam with Carter's transition to Hollywood. Check out a first look below!

Over the summer, BroadwayWorld chatted with the stars of the show, Hayley Atwell and James d'Arcy, and they gave us a good idea of what Season 2 has in store for Carter and her people. Click here to see what they said!

The synopsis of AGENT CARTER Season 2 is as follows, "Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home - and perhaps even a new love - she's about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect."

Marvel's Agent Carter, or simply Agent Carter, is an American television series created for ABC by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, inspired by the films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the Marvel One-Shot short film of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The series is produced by ABC Studios, Marvel Television, and F&B Fazekas & Butters, with Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, and Chris Dingess serving as showrunners.

The series features the Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter, with Hayley Atwell reprising her role from the film series and One-Shot, as she must balance life as a secret agent with that of a single woman in 1940s America. Development on a series inspired by THE AGENT Carter short film had begun by September 2013, with Atwell's involvement confirmed in January 2014. The following May, ABC bypassed a pilot, ordering the show straight to series for an eight episode season, with James D'Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, and Shea Whigham starring alongside Atwell. The series introduces the origins of several characters and storylines from MCU films, while other characters from the films and Marvel One-Shots also appear.

The first season, consisting of eight episodes, aired from January 6 to February 24, 2015, during the season two mid-season break of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Despite steadily decreasing viewership, critical response to the first season of Agent Carter was positive, and the series was renewed for a second season of ten episodes on May 7, 2015.
