PHOTO: Blue Man Group Made Special Cameo on 2017 NHL Awards

Local headliner Blue Man Group was featured in a special video presentation Wednesday, June 21 during the 2017 NHL Awards and NHL Expansion Draft presented by T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. During the comedic video, Blue Man Group, along with other local entertainers, showed off their best hockey skills to be "considered" for the new Vegas Golden Knights team.

The event was broadcast live on NBCSN and Sportsnet in the United States and Canada. Hosted by actor, director and author Joe Manganiello, the NHL Awards Ceremony honored the best hockey players in the world and top performances of the 2016-17 season. Broadcasters Daren Millard of Sportsnet and Kathryn Tappen of NBC emceed the NHL Expansion Draft portion of the event, during which the NHL welcomed the first members of the NHL's 31st team, the Vegas Golden Knights. The event was the most-watched NHL Awards on record across NORTH AMERICA since 1999.
