The documentary is centered around the mystery of the body of a homeless women found in an abandoned farmhouse. Near her lifeless body is a dairy documenting her trials involving starvation and the cold. The story unfolds on the topic of how there are systematic failures that don't help and protect those who are unable to do so for themselves. It was also confirmed that the documentary was filmed in the same house the women was found in.

GOD KNOWS WHERE I AM originally debuted in select theaters in spring 2017, and multiple film festivals. It is said to really speak to the mental health community, and has been screened at meetings of some of the nation's leading mental health organizations.
