Variety reports that a live musical production of the hit PBS Kids show ODD SQUAD will hit the road for a North American tour of over 60 cities. The stage show will feature both songs from the television show and new tunes from composer Paul Buckley.

The live musical production is set to kick off on October 7 in Rutland, Vt., at The Paramount Theatre. The PBS series, now in its second season, follows "a team of young agents who use math skills to solve problems and stop an array of strange phenomena that burst upon the scene."

As part of the live show, audience members will be asked for their help in solving a case. According to the site: "When agents Orion and Oleanna get turned into grown-ups by villains, kids at the show must use math skills and help the agents decode, decipher and unravel clues. Some audience members get to join the fun on stage and use some of the quirky and amazing gadgets that the agents use to help keep danger at bay."

Commented series co-creator and co-executive producer Tim McKeon: "We are really excited about how interactive 'Odd Squad Live' is and that kids in the audience can become agents and solve an odd case in real time!"
