Netflix Shares BILL NYE SAVES THE WORLD Season 3 Trailer, Begins Streaming 5/11

Science educator Bill Nye returns for season three of his Emmy-nominated Netflix Original series, Bill Nye Saves the World, on Friday, May 11. In the six-episode third season, Emmy-nominated host, educator, engineer and curator of CURIOSITY Bill Nye tackles topics from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims.

Each episode of Bill Nye Saves the World entertainingly and enthusiastically dives into a specific topic or concept through lively panel discussions, wide-ranging special correspondent reports and Bill's very special blend of lab procedure and genuine persona. This season, Nye tackles the truth behind evolution, how climate change will impact foods of the future, if it's really possible to "cheat death," the truth behind addiction, what will need to happen to avoid wars starting over water, and what our pets can teach us about being human. Guests this season include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Margaret Cho, Maria Bamford, and Paul F. Tompkins. Michael Ian Black returns with his comically angry "Mad Scientists!" segment, and Karlie Kloss returns as one of Bill's guest correspondents.

Known for his widely popular show Bill Nye the Science Guy, Nye has engaged millions of people around the world with his energetic and passionate approach to teaching viewers about all things science. Nye quickly became a household name for children and adults of the 90's, and on social media, and through his comedic, quirky and educational Netflix series, he's able to reach, educate and inspire millions more, leaving them saying "science rules!"

EPISODE INFO:

Cheating Death - Spoiler Alert: We're all going to die. But controversial technologies - like stem cells, head transplants and 3D-printed organs - are extending our lives. We can really drag this thing out if we want to, but should we?

Surviving in a World Without Water - It may seem crazy, but we're running out of water. The Earth is covered with it, but very little of that is fresh and only a tiny fraction of that is accessible. What can we do to avoid wars for water?

The Addiction Episode - Is addiction a moral failing, a genetic predilection, or a product of your environment? Addiction ruins lives; can Science help us stop?

Recipes from the Future - With existing food sources threatened by climate change, farmers, ranchers and even scientists are developing the foods of the future. You won't believe what's for dinner!

Evolution: the Fact of Life - Even people who "believe" in evolution may not understand it. You are not more evolved than a cockroach. Humans did not evolve from chimps. And btw, we know which came first: the chicken or the egg.

What is Your Pet Really Thinking? - Are our brains unique, or do other creatures think and feel the way we do? Does your dog have a soul? What is your cat thinking? Hey human, maybe you ain't that special.
