NCAA Gymnastics Set to Air Live on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU

For the second consecutive year, the Women's National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships will air live on national television with the first Team Semifinals, All-Around and Individual Event (Semifinal #1) airing on ESPN2 at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, April 14, and the second session (Semifinal #2) beginning on ESPNU at 8 p.m. and finishing live on ESPN. ESPNU will simulcast the ESPN3 All-Around view beginning at 9 p.m. when coverage moves to ESPN.

The Super Six Finals are slated for Saturday, April 15 at 9 p.m. on ESPNU.

Both days of coverage from St. Louis will once again be surrounded with a customized second-screen experience available on WatchESPN and the ESPN app. Viewers are able to stream each individual apparatus or a quad-box view called "All-Around". The "All-Around" channel presents a streaming view of every apparatus live, at the same time, on one screen. The second-screen experience allows fans to stream their preferred gymnast or team live on one device while watching comprehensive coverage of the overall meet on their television.

Each apparatus feed also provides real-time data and scores from the athletes and teams.

ESPN built its first live gymnastics scoring interface in 2014 for regular-season dual meets. The team went back to the drawing board in 2016 to produce a version for a quad-style (SEC Championships) meet and a modification for the NCAA Championships, which features six-teams at a time.

ESPN's Bart Conner and Kathy Johnson Clarke, both U.S. Olympic Medalists in the sport of gymnastics, will call the action for the traditional television telecast. The duo has called regular-season meets for ESPN and SEC Network for the past three years. This will be the sixth NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship they have called together.
