NBC's THE VOICE is #1 for Tuesday Night

From 8-9:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.0/12 in 18-49, 12.4 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 18-49 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, by a 48 percent margin head to head versus the #2 show on those networks, "NCIS" (2.7). Note that the four prior Tuesday "Voice" telecasts have all grown by 0.1-0.2 going from these fast-affil results to official nationals. From its first half-hour to its second, "The Voice" grew by 0.7 of a point or 19 percent (to a 4.3 from a 3.6) and by 13 percent or more than 1.5 million persons in total viewers (13.2 million vs. 11.7 million).

"The Voice" is up 18 percent versus its year-ago Tuesday telecast (4.0 vs. 3.4 from 9-10 p.m. on April 24, 2012). In total viewers, "The Voice" is up 39 percent versus the same night last year (12.445 million vs. 8.933 million).

From 9:01-11 p.m. ET, "Ready for Love" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million in total viewers) is currently equaling last week's 1.2 rating in adults 18-49. In the time period, "Ready for Love" is tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in women 18-34.

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Ready for Love" is tied for #1 among ABC,CBS and NBC in women 18-34 (with a 1.0 rating) and within 0.1 of a rating point of #1 on those networks among adults 18-34 (with a 0.8).

NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/6 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an Encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
