NBC's MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD Wins Sunday as No. 1 in Key Demo
MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the demo most valued by key advertisers this past Sunday, Nov. 12. Sunday's broadcast featured exclusive interviews with Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) as well as an interview with Marc Short, White House legislative affairs director.
926,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into MTP on Sunday: +23 percent (+172,000) more than ABC's "This Week" and +12 percent (+99,000) more than CBS' "Face the Nation," which only rates for the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast. The win marks MTP's 46th win in the key demo out of the last 48 broadcasts. The program grew its A25-54 audience by two percent (+20,000) compared to the previous Sunday.
3.320 million total viewers - +20 percent (+546,000) more than ABC - watched MTP on Sunday. MTP beat ABC for its 33rd straight broadcast. Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP's total viewer advantage over ABC improved by +109 percent (+284,000), and week over week, MTP increased its advantage over a half million viewers (+2,281 percent or +523,000) over ABC.
Among A18-49 viewers, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show for 34 straight broadcasts, marking the show's best winning streak in more than nine years (since September 2008).
MTP grew week over week across the board: one percent (+19,000) in total viewers, two percent (+20,000) in A25-54 viewers and +12 percent (+77,000) in A18-49 viewers.
MTP continues as the #1 Sunday show season-to-date with A25-54 and A18-49 viewers, leading both ABC and CBS by double-digits with each demo audience.
An additional 1.120 million total viewers and 351,000 A25-54 viewers watched the show through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
