With AMERICA'S GOT TALENT ranking #1 for the week among primetime telecasts on the Big 4 networks and "American Ninja Warrior," "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge," "Maya & Marty," "The Night Shift" and three Olympic Trials broadcasts ranking among the top 25, NBC has won the primetime ratings week of June 20-26 among those networks in adults 18-49 and other key demographics, according to "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research.
While "Talent" ranked #1 for the week on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, Monday's "Ninja" finished #4, Monday's "Spartan" tied for #10, Sunday's Women's Gymnastics Championships ranked #12, Wednesday's "Ninja" encore, Tuesday's "Maya & Marty" and Sunday's swimming Olympics Trials tied for #16 and Wednesday's "Night Shift" and Friday's Women's Gymnastics Championships tied for #23.
"Talent" was also the #1 Big 4 primetime telecast of the week in total viewers, adults 25-54, women 25-54, all key adult-male demos, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.
In total viewers, "Talent" outscored the #2 Big 4 telecast of the week by +3.6 million persons (11.7 million vs. 8.1 million for ABC's #2 "$100,000 Pyramid").
For the week,
NBC maintained 100% of its year-ago rating in adults 18-49 and most other key demographics and grew +2% versus the same week last year in total viewers (4.6 million vs. 4.5 million).
NBC ranked #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS,
NBC and
FOX for the week in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, women 18-49, women 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.
Excluding
ABC weeks during the NBA Playoffs,
NBC has outrated every Big 4 network every week so far this summer in adults 18-49.
Season to date,
NBC is running within 0.1 of a rating point of Super Bowl-boosted
CBS in the race for #1 among adults 18-49 and is tied for #1 in adults 18-34.
NBC's total-viewer average of 7.838 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a
SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2006-07 (8.506 million).
Primetime averages for the week of June 20-26 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 1.1 rating, 4 share; ABC, 1.0/4; CBS, 0.9/3; Fox, 0.6/2; and CW, 0.2/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 4.6 million; NBC, 4.6 million; ABC, 4.5 million; Fox, 2.2 million; and CW, 0.9 million.
"Most current" averages for the season to date are: CBS, 2.1/7; NBC, 2.0/7; ABC, 1.9/7; Fox, 1.8/6; and CW, 0.7/3. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.3 million; NBC, 7.8 million; ABC, 6.9 million; Fox, 5.5n; and CW, 1.9 million.
