NBCUniversal's Bluprint Announces New Programming for Kids, Parents, and Family

Bluprint, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment's subscription service and premier digital destination for lifestyle learning, today announced a new slate of original content and programming designed for kids, parents and families to learn and create together. Bluprint's family vertical offers series, classes and fresh ideas that inspire families to learn and try new things together. Bluprint is available on-demand via Bluprint streaming subscriptions.

Bluprint is the place for families to turn online inspiration into offline ways to imagine, play and grow. With 24/7 access to exclusive series and and easy-to-follow classes, families can learn and try new things together -- no matter their skill level. Bluprint's content is developed with kids 6-12 in mind, and led by trusted, family-friendly experts.

"Every parent is looking for something creative to do with their kids. By blurring the lines between 'kids' and 'adult' content, we hope to encourage co-viewing for families to enjoy their creative interests all in one place," said Patrick Jager, VP, Programming and Production, Bluprint. "The possibilities are endless for families to learn and get creative in ways that work for everyone."

Research cited in Psychology Today reports that creative activity in childhood leads to innovation and success in adulthood. Bluprint will be offering families "edu-tainment" that sets kids up for success and creative exploration, with flexible lessons for every skill set. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and math) will be integrated across new original series and classes that will be unveiled in the coming months, as Bluprint takes the time to show and model problem-solving and the scientific principles behind problem solvers.

"There's nothing better than watching your child embrace new challenges and discover new passions," said Catherine Balsam-Schwaber, General Manager, Bluprint. "Bluprint is the spark your family needs to do more together, making 'we time' even more meaningful. Our new content will ignite kids' and families' imaginations and gets them inspired to do, not just sit back and watch."
