NBC Airs MACY'S 87th THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE Today
America's favorite holiday tradition, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to dazzle and enchant millions nationwide today, November 28, 2013 beginning at 9 a.m. on NBC in all time zones.
The 87th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will take to the streets of New York City with a cornucopia of whimsical treats for the whole family. With more than 3.5 million spectators watching the revelry live and more than 50 million viewers tuned in to the magic nationwide, the 87th edition of the world famous spectacle promises to be the nation's largest Thanksgiving Day celebration.
Last year's "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," hosted by Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker of NBC's "Today," scored a 6.5 rating in adults 18-49, up 5 percent from 2011's 6.2, making it the top parade rating in 18-49 since 2009 (6.5) and matching the high since 2004 (6.7). NBC Research estimates that 43.2 million viewers watched all or some of NBC's "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" coverage.
