NBC Universo ends January as the fastest growing Spanish-language entertainment cable network during Monday-Sunday 7pm-12am primetime, season-to-date among key demos, according to Nielsen. While its key competitors declined, the cable network grew 28% among adults 18-49 (41,000), 29% among adults 18-34 (22,000) and 22% total viewers (71,000). In weekend prime, NBC Universo surpassed key competitor Discovery en Español versus prior season among adults 18-49 (47,000 vs. 45,000) and adults 18-34 (25,000 vs. 17,000).
Season highlights include: Hit original celeb-reality "The Riveras" ranks as the highest rated entertainment program in network history, averaging 128,000 adults 18-49 and 181,000 total viewers.
"The Walking Dead en Español" ranked as the network's highest-rated scripted series since channel launch (67,000 adults 18-49 & 89,000 total viewers).
"Larrymania" season five brought in triple digit growth vs. prior four weeks on Sundays at 9pm before premiere, up 196% among adults18-49 and up 179% among total viewers.
