NBC Sports to Present NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing from Richmond, Today

NBC Sports heads to Richmond International Raceway for the final Sprint Cup race of the regular-season. Set to be an epic battle, drivers on the bubble have one last chance to secure a position in the top 16 drivers advancing on to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase. NBCSN's weekend coverage from the "Old Dominion" state is highlighted by the NASCAR Sprint Cup race Saturday at 7 p.m. ET and the XFINITY Series race Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

NBCSN's Friday and Saturday pre-race coverage includes an exclusive interview with Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sidelined for the rest of the 2016 season due to a concussion, Earnhardt Jr. joins his former crew chief and friend, Steve Letarte, for an introspective look into his 2016 journey and decision to remain out of the race car.

Denny Hamlin takes the wheel of the NBC Sports Toyota Camry on-track car for a special preview of Richmond International Raceway. As part of NASCAR's 2016 Chase Across America, Hamlin also stopped by NASCAR America's studios in Stamford, Conn. He joined host Dave Briggs and Letarte live in-studio yesterday to discuss his "pretty easy summer" after winning the Daytona 500 in February and security his position in the Chase early. NBC Sports begins its coverage from Richmond International Raceway Friday at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Sprint Cup practice. NBCSN's coverage continues with final practice at 12 p.m. ET, followed by an on-site edition of NASCAR AMERICA at 3:30 p.m. ET and qualifying at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday's trackside coverage begins with a special two-hour edition of NASCAR AMERICA at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN, which rolls into Countdown to Green at 7 p.m. ET. Race coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. An on-site post-race show takes over at 11 p.m. ET, followed by NASCAR VICTORY LAP at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Race announcer Rick Allen calls this weekend's Sprint Cup action alongside analysts Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton. Pre- and post-race coverage is handled by host Krista Voda, and analysts Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett. Marty Snider, Mike Massaro, Dave Burns and Kelli Stavast report from pit road. Rutledge Wood also contributes, bringing his sense of style to the Richmond raceway.

NBCSN surrounds the XFINITY Series Friday with complete coverage from Richmond International Raceway beginning with practice at 8 a.m. ET followed by qualifying at 4 p.m. ET. Countdown to Green kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN followed by race coverage at 7:30 p.m. ET and an on-site post-race show at 10 p.m. ET.

Race announcer Leigh Diffey calls this weekend's XFINITY action from Richmond. Analysts Dale Jarrett and Steve Letarte join Diffey in the booth to call Friday night's race.

Kurt Busch stars in this week's new NASCAR on NBC "Phone a Fan" web video, where unsuspecting fans receive calls from their favorite NASCAR drivers. In the video released on the NASCAR on NBC Facebook page and twitter accounts, Kurt polls fans on who is the better looking Busch brother, him or his brother Kyle Busch.
