Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) aims for his eighth consecutive win this weekend, as NBCSN presents live coverage of the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix this Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET. Pre-race coverage starts at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN with F1 Countdown.

NBC Sports Live Extra - NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs - will provide comprehensive streaming coverage of practice, qualifying, and the Spanish Grand Prix.

F1 SPANISH GRAND PRIX - SUNDAY AT 7:30 A.M. ET ON NBCSN

Rosberg has dominated the F1 circuit to begin the 2016 campaign, rattling off four consecutive wins to start the season, including his first ever "grand slam" at the Russian Grand Prix on May 1, as he led every lap from the pole and set the race's fastest lap.

Rosberg has won seven consecutive races dating back to the 2015 campaign, tied with F1 legends Alberto Ascari and Michael Schumacher for the second-most consecutive wins in F1 history. With a win in Spain this weekend, Rosberg would move within one of Sebastian Vettel's F1 record nine straight victories. Rosberg won his first Spanish Grand Prix last year, holding off Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Eight different drivers have won the Spanish Grand Prix the past eight years, including Hamilton, Fernando Alonso (McLaren), and current Ferrari teammates Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.

Live coverage begins exclusively on NBC Sports Live Extra on Friday morning at 4 a.m. ET with Practice 1, followed by NBCSN's live coverage of Practice 2 at 8 a.m. ET. Live Extra's coverage continues Saturday at 5 a.m. ET with Practice 3, followed by live qualifying at 8 a.m. ET on NBCSN. Live Spanish Grand Prix coverage begins Sunday morning at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN.

Lead F1 announcer Leigh Diffey will call this weekend's action, and will be joined by veteran analyst and former racecar driver David Hobbs, and analyst and former race mechanic for the Benetton F1 team Steve Matchett. F1 insider Will Buxton will serve as the team's on-site reporter from Circuit de Barcelona-Catalyuna in Spain. NBCSN will also present the GP2 race from Spain on Sunday at 6 a.m. ET, leading into pre-race coverage of the F1 Spanish Grand Prix.

Additional motorsports coverage on NBCSN this week includes presentation of last weekend's NASCAR K&N Pro Series West NAPA Auto Parts Wildcat 150 from Tucson Speedway this Thursday at 6 p.m. ET, as well as encore Mecum Auctions telecasts from this year's Kissimmee and Kansas City events. Dave Burns and Parker Kligerman provide commentary for the NAPA Auto Parts Wildcat 150.
