After departing PARKS AND RECREATION, Rob Lowe may be headed back to NBC.

According to Deadline, the network has given a put pilot commitment to THE PRO, which Lowe will star in and executive produce. FRASIER's Pete Huyck and Alex Gregory have signed on as showrunners, and will also write. Todd Holland will direct.

The project follows "a former tennis doubles champion "Big Ben" Bertrahm, whose career flame-out and misguided investments have left him working as the pro at a tennis and golf club, where he tries to hustle and charm his way back into America's 1%."

Lowe will exit NBC's long-running comedy PARKS AND REC alongside Rashida Jones after the 13th episode of the current season.

Best known as a teen heartthrob and member of the infamous '80s "Brat Pack," the multi-faceted Lowe has starred on television in Parks & Recreation, Brothers & Sisters and Dr. Vegas. His recently published memoir, "Stories I Only Tell My Friends," which chronicles his life and storied Hollywood career, was a New York Times bestseller. The four-time Golden Globe nominee received rave reviews for his work on the acclaimed drama series The West Wing, a role that earned him two SAG Awards and an Emmy nomination.
