NBC Announces Celebrity-Helmed Reality Shows For Midseason

During a press call, NBC called this coming season "its most ambitious midseason in years," according to Deadline.

Upcoming series include America's Got Talent championship edition, Ellen's Game of Games, and The Titan Games, featuring Dwayne Johnson.

Chairman Bob Greenblatt said he was "really thrilled" with the "extraordinary lineup of unscripted shows." He says that the winter had previously always been a period of "treading water while THE VOICE is off." Now America's Got Talent will bridge the gap between seasons.

This new run of AGT has been something that Paul Telegdy, NBC's reality TV guru, has wanted to experiment with, but they did not want to do it without key talent. Now, they have gotten Simon Cowell on board.
