Former Marine Lance Corporal William "Kyle" Carpenter, recent recipient of the Medal of Honor, will visit the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Thursday, June 26 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Carpenter was presented with the nation's highest military award by President Barack Obama during a ceremony at the White House today. The Mississippi native, the eighth living recipient of the Medal of Honor for actions in Iraq or Afghanistan, is being awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism while in combat near the Marjah district, Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Although Carpenter and Eufrazio sustained major injuries, both survived the blast.
