Mary-Louise Parker could be headed back to Showtime.

According to Deadline, the former WEEDS actress is in talks to star in and produce the network's adaptation of poet Mary Karr's memoirs. The period piece comes from MASTERS OF SEX's Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly, and based on Karr's LIARS' CLUB, CHERRY, and LIT.

Per the report: "Karr drew a lot of attention and praise with her best-selling 1995 memoir Liars' Club, which chronicled, with some humor, her challenging childhood in East Texas in the 1960s. Her followup memoirs, Cherry and Lit, document her perilous journey into adulthood and her struggles with alcoholism."

Parker recently wrapped a run in MCC Theatre's THE SNOW GEES, and is best known for her role as cannabis-selling widow Nancy Botwin on Showtime's WEEDS. She was also recently seen opposite Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren in RED 2, and Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in R.I.P.D. She recently starred in NBC's pilot FEED ME, which was ultimately not picked up.
