Martin Sheen to Portray Televangelist Oral Roberts in Netflix's COME SUNDAY

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Martin Sheen will take on the role of reknown televangelist Oral Roberts in Netflix upcoming drama COME SUNDAY. Robert Redford was originally in talks to headline the project.
Based on the 2005 This American Life segment titled "Heretics," and directed by Joshua Marston, the drama will also star Chiwetel Ejiofor as "a minister in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who loses his congregation of thousands following the revelation that he no longer believes in hell." LaKeith Stanfield also stars.
Last year, Sheen was a guest star on Netflix's hit comedy GRACE AND FRANKIE, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. On the big screen, he recently starred opposite Warren Beatty in "Rules Don't Apply."Recent Articles
