Maria Celeste Arraras Wins TV Academy Broadcasting Award

Iconic Telemundo host María Celeste Arrarás has been honored with a Silver Circle Award for her contribution to the television industry. The Silver Circle Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, recognize individuals who have made important contributions to the television industry over a period of at least 25 years. "Noticiero Telemundo" News Anchor, José Díaz-Balart is a recipient of this prestigious accolade.

"María Celeste has been a leading figure in television in recent decades," commented Sylvia Rosabal, Senior Vice President of Noticias Telemundo. "From the start of her career in Puerto Rico through today, she has proven herself to be an excellent journalist and talented presenter who connects with audiences like few of her peers. Her genuineness and and credibility have helped shape one of the fastest growing industries in the country: Hispanic television."

María Celeste Arrarás hosts "Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste," the Telemundo news magazine that airs coast to coast in the United States and 15 Latin American countries. Currently, she is also guest co-anchor of Telemundo's internationally renowned newscast, "Noticiero Telemundo," with José Díaz-Balart.

Over the course of her career, María Celeste has served as guest co-host of NBC's morning show, "Today," and as a presenter on "Dateline" and "NBC Nightly News with BrIan Williams." She has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Emmy Award, and been profiled in leading publications, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post and The Miami Herald. María Celeste has appeared on the cover of People en Español magazine more times than any other celebrity.
