Major League Baseball Returns Live on ESPN Deportes

The 2016 Major League Baseball (MLB) season kicked off on ESPN DEPORTES with Sunday's OPENING DAY game between the St. Louis Cardinals vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates April 3 at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Toronto Blue Jays vs. the Tampa Bay Rays at 4 p.m., and the New York Mets vs. the Kansas City Royals at 8:30 p.m.

Throughout the regular season, the network will carry a total of 88 games: 58 on TV and 30 games on ESPN Deportes+. All events are available live on computers, smartphones and tablets via WatchESPN.

The ESPN DEPORTES talent lineup includes MLB experts Ernesto Jerez, Carolina Guillen, Carlos Nava, Ozzie Guillén, Guillermo Celis, José Francisco Rivera and Renato Bermúdez; and reporters Enrique Rojas, Marly Rivera, Jorge Morejón, Javier Maymí, Adriano Torres and Rigoberto Cervantez.

The network will continue to grow its social media offering with unique content and new feature "Chef Picao," showcasing Luis Alfredo Alvarez cooking traditional ballpark foods.

Carolina Guillen returns to Béisbol Esta Noche as SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL show host, joined for the first time by the analysis of Ismael "The Rocket" Valdez. Guillen will be accompanied by analysts Valdez, Enrique Rojas, Alex Cora, Raul Ibañez, and Candy Maldonado on rotation.

Monday Night Baseball will be led by Emmy Award winning play-by-play announcer Ernesto Jerez alongside 2005 WORLD SERIES Champion Manager Ozzie Guillen, and Luis Alfredo Alvarez. Jerez and Alvarez will also call the Wednesday Night Baseball games.

ESPN Deportes+, the network's digital channel available via ESPN3, will provide exclusive Spanish-language coverage of 30 regular-season games.
ESPN Deportes Radio:

Zona ESPN will dedicate a special segment to OPENING DAY on Friday, April 1 at 12 p.m. ET and Zona Sabatina on Saturday, April 2 at 9 a.m. ET.

Zona ESPN will complement the TV live broadcast with onsite support from the Marlins Stadium on home opener from Monday through Friday, starting at 12 p.m. ET.
