"Meet the Press" was the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs hour on July 7, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The NBC broadcast drew 2.352 million viewers, topping This Week by +279,000, The Face the Nation hour by +514,000, and Fox News Sunday by +1,356,000.

MTP delivered an additional 1.137 million total viewers and 433,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts - 523,000 total viewers and 180,000 A25-54 viewers on the network and 614,000 total viewers and 253,000 A25-54 viewers on MSNBC.

In Washington, DC, MTP averaged 62,000 total viewers (2.4/7 HH), +313% ahead of FOX News Sunday's 15,000 (0.5/2), +343% more than The Face the Nation hour's 14,000 (0.8/2), and +589% ahead of This Week's 9,000 viewers (0.4/1).

Highlights:

· MTP averaged 2.352 million total viewers, +13% (+279,000) more than This Week's 2.073 million, +28% (+514,000) more than The Face The Nation hour's 1.838 million, and +136% (+1,356,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday's 996,000.
· In homes, MTP delivered a 1.8 rating and 6 share, ahead of This Week 's 1.6/5, The Face the Nation hour's 1.4/4, and FOX News Sunday's 0.8/2.
· In rating A25-54, MTP delivered a 0.6 rating, +1 tenth more than This Week, +2 tenths more than The Face The Nation hour, and +3 tenths more than FOX News Sunday.
· MTP averaged 658,000 A25-54 viewers, +70,000 more than This Week's 588,000, +147,000 more than The Face The Nation hour's 511,000, and +325,000 more than FOX News Sunday's 333,000.

Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press" featured an update on the SFO plane crash from NBC's Tom Costello and NTSB Chair Deborah Hersman; a report on the situation in Egypt from NBC's Ayman Mohyeldin and former Egyptian ambassador to the United States Nabil Fahmy; an exclusive interview with Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ); as well as roundtable discussions with Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID), New York Times columnists David Brooks and Tom Friedman, Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne, author and Woodrow Wilson Center senior fellow Robin Wright, Bloomberg View's Jeffrey Goldberg, and NBC's Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd.
