dick clark productions and Billboard announced today that New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde will perform her new single "Tennis Court" on the 2014 Billboard Music Awards -- the first time she will perform the song on television. She joins a star-studded lineup of previously announced must-see performers including 5 Seconds of Summer, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, OneRepublic, Pitbull and Ricky Martin. The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on SUNDAY, MAY 18 on ABC at 8pm ET.

Lorde broke through in 2013 with her ubiquitous No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single "Royals" and her debut album "Pure Heroine." In addition to performing at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, Lorde is tied with Imagine Dragons for being a finalist in the most categories this year. The categories include Top New Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Album, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Digital Song, Top Radio Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio), and Top Rock Song. Earlier this year, Lorde took home two Grammys at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her debut single "Royals." Lorde will be performing her new hit "Tennis Courts," which hit the Billboard Adult Pop charts at No. 39 last week.
