Jenna Elfman is headed to THE MINDY PROJECT.

Vulture reports that the former 1600 PENN star is set to guest on the second season of Mindy Kaling's comedy series.

Elfman will take on the role of a "crisis-management publicist who "sexually dominates" Danny, which at this point brings Dr. Castellano's libido into serious question."

Heading into its sophomore season, THE MINDY PROJECT, is a single-camera comedy from Emmy Award-nominated writer/producer and New York Times best-selling author Mindy Kaling ("The Office") that follows a skilled OB/GYN (Kaling) trying to balance both her personal and professional life.

Cast of the comedy includes Mindy Kaling as Mindy; Chris Messina as Danny; Zoe Jarman as Betsy; Ed Weeks as Jeremy; Ike Barinholtz as Morgan; and Beth Grant as Beverly.

The Mindy Project is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment in association with Universal Television. The series is created and written by Mindy Kaling. Kaling, Howard Klein, Matt Warburton, Michael Spiller and Jack Burditt are executive producers.

Elfman recently appeared on NBC's "1600 Penn" and is best known for her role on "Dharma and Greg," for which she garnered a Golden Globe Award, three Emmy Award nominations.
