JUST IN: Entire Final Season of HIMYM to Take Place on Wedding Weekend!

Just days after America first laid eyes on actress Cristin Milioti, who will portray the titular 'Mother' on CBS's HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, TVline has learned that the entire final season of the show will take place during one weekend.
Season 8 of the comedy concluded at the beginning of the wedding celebration of Ted and Robin. Now, series co-creator Carter Bays reveals that Season 9 will tell "the Epic story of the longest wedding weekend ever". As the episodes unfold, viewers will get details on "how each character, before Ted, meets the mother. So, they each meet her independently before he does."
Milioti, whose casting was kept secret by incorporating fake episode titles and a largely closed set during taping, received a Tony nomination for her role of 'Girl' in the Broadway musical Once. She has also made a guest appearance on NBC's 30 Rock.
