Hugh Jackman is heading to the U.K.'s revival of the hit comedy show THE KUMARS AT NO. 42.

Series runner Sanjeev Bhaskar revealed to the BBC that Jackman had recorded a cameo for the show, set to air on the U.K.'s Sky1, after being cancelled by the BBC in 2006.

"We've got these sketches that we do in the show now," Bhaskar told BBC. "Hugh Jackman has done one for us. Zoe Wanamaker's done one for us as well. I asked him if he would do me a huge favour and shoot something. In the end he rather kindly, between filming scenes, came away and did a couple of things for us. So he's a great guy."

As of now, there's no word on when Jackman's episode will air.

Hugh Jackman is perhaps best known around the world as Wolverine in the X-Men series, and has starred in films for such directors as Baz Luhrmann (Australia), Woody Allen (Scoop), Christopher Nolan (The Prestige), and Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain). He most recently portrayed Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's adaptation of Les Miserables.

As comfortable on stage as he is on screen, Jackman has seen additional success on Broadway with credits including the musical The Boy From Oz (for which he won Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards), his recent one-man show Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway, and the drama A Steady Rain opposite Daniel Craig. In addition to serving as Tony Awards host for three consecutive years from 2003 - 2005 (his second appearance earned him an Emmy Award, and the final garnered an Emmy nomination), Jackman brought hishoned skills to Hollywood where he hosted the 81st Annual Academy Awards in 2009.
