HIGH VALUE TARGET: THE HUNT FOR SADDAM to Premiere on TNT This September

TNT will premiere the limited series HIGH VALUE TARGET: THE HUNT FOR SADDAM this September, joining new episodes of THE LIBRARIANS: THE NEXT CHAPTER, the return of NHL and Big 12 College Football coverage, and a slate of movie marathons across TNT, TBS and truTV.
Inspired by the memoir 'Debriefing the President' by CIA Analyst John Nixon, the eight-episode political thriller chronicles one man's relentless pursuit of truth amid a nation's complicated quest for justice. For the first time, HIGH VALUE TARGET: THE HUNT FOR SADDAM brings to television screens the story of John Nixon (Joel Kinnaman), the first CIA officer to interrogate Saddam Hussein (Waleed Zuaiter, The Girlfriend) following his capture in December 2003. Set against the backdrop of one of the most consequential military operations in recent history, the series explores the high-stakes exchanges between Nixon and Hussein.
The series premieres Sunday, September 13 on TNT, with the first two episodes airing back to back. In Episode 1, at 9PM, America invades Iraq. Saddam Hussein (Waleed Zuaiter) vanishes. CIA analyst John Nixon (Joel Kinnaman) works around the clock to identify leads to find the deposed dictator. On the embattled streets of Baghdad, Captain Samir (Dar Salim) hunts door to door for HVT no. 1. In Episode 2, at 10PM, months in, still no Saddam. John (Joel Kinnaman) talks his way to Baghdad, with Samir (Dar Salim) assigned as his translator. John identifies a target with answers, leading him into the red zone.
THE LIBRARIANS: THE NEXT CHAPTER also wraps its season this month. On Sunday, September 6 at 9PM, a distress call from Merlin (Dominic Monaghan) leads the Librarians to a town where the entire population has mysteriously fallen asleep. As they search for the magical artifact behind the enchantment, the team is forced to confront their darkest nightmares brought vividly to life, with guest stars Josh Gates and Dominic Monaghan. The season finale airs Monday, September 7 at 9PM: the Librarians face their deadliest mission yet when a power-hungry Merlin (Dominic Monaghan) returns to Camelot, determined to rewrite both the past and the future. Now, the team must stop the formidable wizard and prevent the collapse of time itself—or die trying, with guest stars Dominic Monaghan, Glesdia Arthur, Jack Cunningham-Nuttall, Danny Fintin Rea, Luka Divac and Alex Henry.
