Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thornton, and Jacki Weaver have all officially signed deals to star in PARKLAND, the upcoming film based upon John F. Kennedy's assassination. Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are set to produce through Playtone, with Exclusive Media financing the flick.

PARKLAND retells the true story of the devastating events that unfolded at Parkland Hospital in Dallas on the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963. The film is tentatively set to be released in 2013, to mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination.

"Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are two exceptional producers with great taste so we are delighted to be collaborating with them on this fascinating film about such a significant chapter in American history," Exclusive Media co-chairmen Nigel Sinclair and Guy East told The Hollywood Reporter.
