Film Society of Lincoln Center to Screen Select Episodes of Sundance's THE RETURNED, 11/23

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today it will present Episodes 1 and 2 from Sundance Channel's hit THE RETURNED (LES REVENANTS), created by Fabrice Gobert and adapted from the 2004 film, THEY CAME BACK. On Saturday, November 23 at 4PM, the episodes will screen back-to-back, for free to the public, in the Amphitheater at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. A Q&A will immediately follow the screening with producers Carole Scotta, Jimmy Desmarais and Caroline Benjo. The event will be co-presented by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and Music Box Films.
In an idyllic French Alpine village, a seemingly random collection of people find themselves in a state of confusion as they attempt to return to their homes. What they do not yet know is that they have been dead for several years, and no one is expecting them back. Buried secrets emerge as they grapple with this miraculous and sinister new reality, struggling to reintegrate with their families and past lovers. But it seems they are not the only ones back from the dead. Their arrival coincides with a series of gruesome murders that bear a chilling resemblance to the work of a serial killer from the past...In a French mountain town, a seemingly random group of people find themselves in a state of confusion as they attempt to return to their homes. Camille is unable to fit back into her family again and Simon approaches his former fiancée Adele. As the returned struggle to piece together the years they lost, strange happenings seem to suggest they're not the only ones who been brought back.
