FOOL FOR LOVE's Nina Arianda and Sam Rockwell to Reunite for Animated Film

Augenblick Studios (Ugly Americans, Wonder Showzen, Superjail) is turning to Indiegogo to raise funds for production of the animated feature film THE ADVENTURES OF DRUNKY. The R-rated comedy stars Nina Arianda as Fancy, the love interest to Drunky played by Arianda's FOOL FOR LOVE co-star Sam Rockwell.

The film will also feature the unparalleled talent of Jeffrey Tambor, Steve Coogan, Dave Attell, and Tyler The Creator. The supporting cast includes Noel Wells, Abby Elliot, John Leguizamo, Jon Glaser, Jay Pharoah, James Adomian, Larry Murphy, Rachel Butera, and Randy Pearlstein.

THE ADVENTURES OF DRUNKY follows Drunky (Rockwell), a barfly who finds himself in the middle of a cos- mic bet between God (Tambor) and the Devil (Coogan) over the fate of the Earth. With his life destroyed, Drunky must travel through Heaven and Hell to rescue the girl he loves (Arianda) and save the world. Assisting Drunky on his quest are an alley cat (Tyler The Creator) and a demon (Attell).

The film is being directed by Aaron Augenblick from his original concept. Lisa Thomas and Kris Wollinger of Au- genblick Studios will produce along with James Belfer and Daniel Shepard of Cartuna. Peter Lengyel and Adam Belfer will executive produce. THE ADVENTURES OF DRUNKY is written by Aaron Bergeron and Aaron Augenblick.

"THE ADVENTURES OF DRUNKY is everything I love about cartoons," says Augenblick. "It's hand drawn, surreal, and funny as hell. Working with Nina and Sam truly brought THE ADVENTURES OF DRUNKY to life, though. They already had a comfort level and powerful chemistry together from their time together in Fool for Love, and Nina parallels Sam's devotion to the character. Both actors added a depth to their characters that you rarely see in animation- when they do things, they do it to the full degree."

The Indiegogo campaign will run for 30 days, now through May 26th. In exchange for pledges, funders can be drawn into the movie, go on a barcrawl with the director, get tickets to the premiere, and much more. The campaign video will feature original animation by Augenblick Studios with voice over from Jeffrey Tambor and Tyler the Creator.

The funds raised will go towards storyboards and animation for the film. Beyond raising funds, this campaign hopes to blaze a trail for this genre and prove that there is a substantial audience of adults hungry for R-Rated animated features.
