Ewan McGregor has some carefully chosen words for 'fans' of George Lucas' STAR WARS prequel films.

In a new interview with Details, the actor opened up about the 'parasitical lowlifes,' more interested in selling memorabilia than engaging the film.

On the fans, he said:

"I don't have any experience with them. I've never been to one of the conventions. The people I meet are the f****** who want me to sign Star Wars photos so they can sell them on the Internet or the people at premieres who are crushing children against barriers to get me to sign their fing picture of Obi-Wan Kenobi. They're not fans-they're parasitical lowlifes and f****** wankers."

McGregor recently wrapped production on Jane's Got a Gun and is currently filming Mortdecai opposite Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow. His other upcoming movie projects include Born to Be King, Last Days in the Desert, Our Kind of Traitor and Kill the Trumpet Player.

He was recently seen on the big screen in John Wells' film adaptation of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning play August: Osage County. Among his other recent film credits are Jack the Giant Slayer, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Beginners and more.

McGregor will star this fall on Broadway in THE REAL THING alongside Maggie Gyllenhaal and Cynthia Nixon. He also starred in the West End's 2005 production of GUYS AND DOLLS.

Star Wars Episode VII will star John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie as well as returning stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker reprising their original trilogy roles.

Star Wars Episode VII will be released on December 18, 2015.
