Joey Dakota is about a documentary filmmaker named Maya (Stevens) who travels back in time to meet and fall in love with her documentary subject Joey Dakota (Horner), a rock star who died mysteriously in the '90's. When she is unexpectedly brought back to the present, she tries to find a way to get back to the past and prevent her love's death. The pilot is based on an Israeli series called Danny Hollywood, which produced 200 episodes.
