ESPN today announced an all-star roster of NBA game commentators for the 2016-17 season. ESPN senior coordinating producer Tim Corrigan, who will again lead ESPN's and ABC's NBA game coverage, commented on this season's team:

"Our primary objective this year and every year is to educate, inform and entertain, as we document the NBA season from the opening tip of preseason to the hoisting of the Larry O'Brien Trophy. We've assembled a premier lineup of experienced, knowledgeable and passionate NBA play-by-play voices who will tell the story of the 2016-17 season."

ESPN commentators expected to regularly contribute to ESPN NBA game coverage:

Play-by-play: Mike Breen, Mark Jones, Dave Pasch, Ryan Ruocco;
Analysts: Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, Hubie Brown, Doug Collins, Doris Burke.
In addition, mainstays Doris Burke and Lisa Salters will once again spearhead a gifted cast of game reporters throughout the season.

Doug Collins: the former NBA head coach and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Curt Gowdy Media Award recipient, will transition to a full-time game analyst role for ESPN this season. Collins had primarily served as an NBA COUNTDOWN studio analyst for the past three years. This season, he will regularly appear alongside play-by-play commentator Dave Pasch, in addition to working assignments with play-by-play voices Mike Breen, Mark Jones and Ryan Ruocco. Collins is a veteran game analyst, having served as a men's basketball analyst for three Olympics and four NBA Finals.

Hubie Brown: the former head coach and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Curt Gowdy Media Award recipient has reached a multi-year extension with ESPN, and will continue to serve as one of ESPN's signature game analysts. Brown will serve as the featured analyst on the ABC NBA Sunday Showcase series, alongside play-by-play commentator Mark Jones, in addition to Christmas Day assignments and various other regular-season and NBA Playoffs assignments across ESPN and ABC. Brown is also expected to continue his role as an NBA FINALS analyst on ESPN Radio. Brown has called a record 14 NBA FINALS combined across television and radio.

Doris Burke: the highly-respected and versatile basketball commentator will become one of ESPN's regular NBA analysts this season, in addition to her game reporter assignments. Burke is also a staple of ESPN's men's and WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL coverage as an analyst. She has also served as an NBA COUNTDOWN studio host during the past two seasons.

Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson - the longest-tenured NBA FINALS broadcast team - will return to lead ESPN's and ABC's NBA game coverage this season. The trio, alongside Doris Burke, will serve as the crew for NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC, signature games during the NBA Playoffs and for the NBA Finals.

NBA doubleheaders generally air Wednesday and Friday nights on ESPN during the regular-season. NBA games also air as part of the NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC and ABC NBA Sunday Showcase series' January-April.

Additional ESPN NBA information, including NBA game commentators for ESPN Radio and ESPN Deportes, and preseason coverage, will be issued in the coming days.
