Premium entertainment network EPIX announced that Google's Android TV will now offer the EPIX app to its authenticated subscribers. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed. A leader in multiplatform availability, EPIX is the first premium network to launch on Android TV and this deal marks EPIX's continued expansion across smart TV's including Sony, Sharp, Philips and more.
The EPIX Android TV app will deliver four live EPIX channel feeds as well as streaming access to thousands of titles on-demand, including big movie franchises The Hunger Games, James Bond, and Star Trek, original documentaries and music and comedy events featuring marquee talent including Katy Perry, Craig Ferguson, Louis CK, Russell Brand and more. The app features a sleek new user interface, Rotten Tomatoes Ratings, global Google search integration, Android TV recommendations, plus movie trailers and entertainment extras.
