Discovery Channel's Emmy nominated hit survival series NAKED AND AFRAID returns with brand new episodes this fall. Fresh off the success of 2015's #1 new unscripted cable series "Naked and Afraid XL", NAKED AND AFRAID, the "best reality show on television" (The Guardian, April 2015) returns to claim its thrown tonight, October 4th at 10pm ET/PT.

Each week on NAKED AND AFRAID, a new pair of complete and total strangers - one man and one woman - will find themselves stranded in and exposed to one of the WORLD'S MOST EXTREME environments. The duo - both survivalists with their own expertise - will be dropped with no food, no water...and no clothes. The goal: survive for 21 days. The prize: the pride that comes with surviving 21 days.

In the past, survivalists have had to endure anything from the heat and dryness of Madagascar to the soaking wet rain forests of Thailand. This season, survivalists will be stranded all over the world, from Panama to Namibia, Belize to Thailand. Add in elephants, venomous snakes, skunks, tarantulas, killer bees, hippos, boa constrictors and mosquitoes that will just not quit...and you've got the toughest and most challenging season of NAKED AND AFRAID to date. When these survivalists are stripped down both physically and mentally, they're making choices based on primitive needs, not a grand prize.

NAKED AND AFRAID is produced for Discovery Channel by Renegade 83; David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe and Steve Rankin are executive producers. For Discovery, Denise Contis and Joseph Boyle are executive producers.
