Tony winner Billy Crudup has joined The cast of the new Columbia Pictures film "Eat, Pray, Love," an adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's best-selling memoir. Crudup will appear alongside Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem and Richard Jenkins, according to trade paper Variety.

"Eat, Pray, Live" will be directed by Ryan Murphy (Fox TVs "Glee", "Nip/Tuck") and features a script by Murphy and Jennifer Salt.

Crudup will star as Steven, husband to Elizabeth Gilbert (played by Roberts). Variety adds, "His hopes to have children are dashed when her quest to get pregnant leaves her feeling she is not living the life she wants. She embarks on a journey of self-discovery around the world."

The film, which begins filming next week, is being produced by Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner through Plan B productions.

Crudup won a Tony for his performance as Belinsky in The Coast of Utopia, and was also nominated for his work in The Pillowman and The Elephant Man. Film work includes The Good Shepherd, Stage Beauty and Big Fish. Wilson, who last appeared on Broadway in Barefoot in the Park, received Tony nods for his performances in The Full Monty and Oklahoma!. He has been seen on screen in such films as Evening, Running with Scissors and Little Children. He was Emmy-nominated for his work in "Angels in America." He was most recently seen in Michael Mann's "Public Enemies" and Zack Snyder's "Watchmen."
