CBS EVENING NEWS Posts Network's Best Deliveries in Time Slot

For the 2012-2013 television year, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted the Network's best deliveries in the time period in viewers (6.43m) and households (4.4/09) since the 2006-2007 television year, according to Nielsen most current ratings. Compared to last year, the CBS EVENING NEWS is up +7% in both viewers (from 6.03m) and households (from 4.1/08).
The CBS EVENING NEWS is in its closest competitive position with ABC in both viewers and households since the 2005-2006 television year and with NBC in both viewers and households since the 2006-2007 television year. For the week ending Sept. 20, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted year-to-year gains in viewers (6.16m from 5.84m, +6%) and households (4.1/08 from 4.0/08, +2%), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Additionally, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY added +320,000 viewers compared to the same week last year.
