CBS Continues Post-Olympics Ratings Momentum

CBS continued its post-Olympics momentum, winning its third consecutive week in viewers and key demographics with 14 of the top 20 programs in viewers and 11 of the top 20 in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 6, week 28 of the 2013-2014 season.
In viewers, CBS (10.08m) won the week by more than +3.5 million viewers, topping ABC (6.39m), NBC (5.72m) and FOX (3.99m). Among adults 18-49, CBS (2.1/06) finished +31% ahead of second-place ABC (1.6/05), +40% ahead of third-place NBC (1.5/04) and +75% ahead of FOX (1.2/04). In the six weeks since the conclusion of the Olympics, CBS has won five straight weeks in viewers and four of the last five in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Last week, CBS had the top four broadcasts in viewers, seven of the top 10 and 14 of the top 20 (70%). Among adults 18-49, the Network had four of the top 10 and 11 of the top 20 programs, including #1 How I Met Your Mother and #2 THE BIG BANG THEORY. CBS Broadcasts In Top 20 Among Viewers: #1 - The Big Bang Theory (17.7 Million) #2 - NCIS (17.2 Million) #3 - NCIS: Los Angeles (15.3 Million) #4 - ACM AWARDS-S (14.2 Million) #6 - How I Met Your Mother Series Finale (13.1 Million) - All-Time Most-WatchedFRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES The series premiere of Friends with Better Lives (P) (7.63m; 9:01-9:31 PM) was second in adults 18-49 (2.6/07) and adults 18-34 (2.3/07, -0.1 behind NBC's "The Voice), posting the time period's best delivery in adults 18-34 this season, its best adults 25-54 rating (3.1/07) since Feb. 3, 2014 and its best adults 18-49 rating since March 3, 2014.
CRIMINAL MINDS CRIMINAL MINDS was first in viewers (10.47m), adults 25-54 (3.3/08) and adults 18-49 (2.6/07). Criminal Minds beat "American Idol" in their common hour for the first time ever in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Compared to the last first-run episode on March 19, Criminal Minds was up +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.1/08), +18% in adults 18-49 (from 2.2/06) and added +330,000 viewers (from 10.14m, +3%).
THE BIG BANG THEORY THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in viewers (17.73m), adults 25-54 (6.6/20) and adults 18-49 (4.9/18). Compared to the last first-run episode (on March 13), The Big Bang Theory was even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, and added +340,000 viewers (from 17.39m, +2%).
THE MILLERS THE MILLERS was first in viewers (11.35m), adults 25-54 (4.0/11) and adults 18-49 (2.8/09). Compared to the last first-run episode (on March 13), The Millers was up +18% in adults 25-54 (from 3.4/09), +17% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/08) and added +790,000 viewers (from 10.56m, +7%).
